MultiChoice’s sport offering, SuperSport, provides comprehensive coverage of African and international sport over seven dedicated channels. SuperSport’s Nigerian station in Lagos shows the capability of a full-service television studio setup with advanced technological features in a developing TV market.
After a fire razed the SuperSport Nigeria studio premises in 2013, Prosound as SuperSports’s nominated supplier of lighting for their studios, had the opportunity to fit out the new studios in Lagos with world-class technology. De Sisti was the manufacturer of choice for the LED solution supplied by Prosound, ensuring long-lasting quality and ease of use.
The installation of ETC sensor dimmers give advanced power control through a combination of fully-featured dimming modules and ETC CEM3 Processors.
High efficiency De Seisti LEDs and Tungsten fixtures were added for overall effect on the sets. An investment in all LED lighting ensures low heat radiation, so traditional large studio cooling systems are no longer a necessity, and with the lights’ low energy usage, this means an overall win for power efficiency.Besides presenting sports shows in these studios, local drama will also be produced in these studios.
On par with any international studio, the SuperSport Studios 1,2,3,4 and 5 are now lights up and live.
