Little Shop of Horrors

The view from Cape Town’s Theatre on the Bay is enough to give one a feeling of satisfaction, and for Prosound’s technical director, Mark Malherbe, it was the setting of yet another job well done. Having worked in this venue on many occasions previously, the sound design for Pieter Toerien’s production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ was a seamless task, even with Mark’s absence during the move-in, for which Emily Adams’ assistance was much appreciated.

The high quality sound equipment used was acquired by the client during ‘bonsai’ touring productions and includes Meyer Sound M1D line arrays and and M2D sub bass loudspeakers, the cast being mic’d using DPA 4061 capsules.

The show ran until the 6th of June in Cape Town and then extended onto the Pieter Toerien Main Theatre at Montecasino.
