Prosound, a leading audiovisual solutions provider in Southern Africa, is pleased to announce the return of Koketso Lamola to the technical sales and support team.

Koketso’s passion for the audiovisual industry began in her youth, when participating in drama, music, and dance lead her to discover technical theatre. After graduating high school, Koketso enrolled for a qualification in Entertainment Technology at the Tshwane University of Technology. During her studies, she had the opportunity to work with Prosound Director and award-winning sound designer, Mark Malherbe.

“When I first met Koketso, I was immediately impressed with her work ethic and passion for technical theatre. However, what really sets Koketso apart is her bubbly personality, and infectious enthusiasm for all that she does,” says Mark.

Koketso began her career at Prosound in 2016, where she quickly distinguished herself as a gifted team player, with a passion for customer service and an exceptional work ethic. After three years, she developed an interest in project management, motivating her to further her education at the University of Johannesburg.

After completing her qualifications, she worked as a project manager in the construction industry. However, after four long years away from her true passion, she has decided that it is time to return to the professional audiovisual industry – a decision that the team at Prosound not only supports but celebrates.

“While we will always support aspirations for personal development, seeing Koketso go was a sad day for the Prosound family. It’s a joy to have her return to us more equipped than ever to realize her full potential in the industry,” said Justin Acres, Director at Prosound.

Brendan Venter, Sales Director at Prosound, said, “We have missed Koketso’s energy and never-say-die attitude on the sales team and are thrilled to welcome her home. She brings a fresh dynamic to the team, and her customer service skills and business acumen plug into our company culture perfectly. We are incredibly proud of what she has achieved over the past four years, and I am confident that the skills, experience, and leadership abilities that she has honed will make her an even more valuable asset in the years to come.”

“I am thrilled to be back at Prosound,” said Koketso. “This is where my passion for audiovisual began, and I am excited to be a part of the team again. I have learned so much in the past four years, and I am eager to apply my knowledge and experience while serving the industry that I am most passionate about.”
