Baywest Mall

Prosound has just finished what could potentially be the world’s best ever foodcourt PA installation at Baywest Mall in Port Elizabeth, showing that Meyer Sound is not only for Rock n Roll and theatre.

Four Meyer Sound JM1P’s were installed to flank a huge LED Screen for advertising purposes at the brand new Baywest Mall in Port Elizabeth. These were arrayed vertically with two boxes on the left and two on the right; the top two speakers to act as long throw to cover the very back of the food court, the two lower boxes to cover the majority of the food court. Additionally, a Meyer Sound UPJ-1P was employed to serve as a down fill for patrons sitting closer to the screen. The JM1P’s provide the horsepower and intelligibility to deliver the advertising messages powerfully and professionally, with enough headroom to really get one’s attention. The speakers are to be hidden behind a acoustically transparent material to fit in with the aesthetics of the building.

The system is processed by a Meyer Sound Galileo 408 processor for individual speaker EQ, level and delay processing and connected to a Rane MLM 82s mixer for input control.
