Prosound was honoured to sponsor technical production at the inaugural Michaelhouse Music Festival in April. Over 500 world-class musicians, singers and conductors converged on the prestigious school grounds for a celebration of music; through massed choirs, jazz performance and steel drum bands to full orchestral concerts.
Creative Director of the event and world-renowed conductor, Richard Cock, lead a delightful programme of Hollywood Hits, together with the Kwa-Zulu Natal Philharmonic Orchestra, Michaelhouse Chapel Choir and Chanticleer Singers, as well as Schubert Mass in G, which saw the KZN Midlands Youth Choir join the ensemble of singers and musicians.
Prosound director, Terry Acres, has a longstanding relationship with the school and has overseen the development of its many performances venues over the years, enabling Michaelhouse to host this exciting event with technical aplomb! Maestro launched its new GS-151CP 15” and GS-121CP 12” coaxial loudspeakers in the enormous Indoor Centre, giving the orchestra sound wonderful clarity in a normally cavernous space. A full setup of Audio-Technica microphones allowed for the management of individual instrument pick-up as well grouped choirs into a truly harmonious experience.
